Recently, on a flight bound for Florida, my husband drew the short straw and sat next to a very sleepy lady. I named her Sleepy Stranger. Sleepy Stranger used my husband’s shoulder as a pillow for the better part of the flight. Sleepy Stranger even left a little drool on his shoulder.
AWKWARD, right?!
Nope. Not my man. Stranger drool didn’t bother him one bit.
But something else gave him the fright of his life!
He was RIGHT. Her thumbnails were HUGE!
They say you learn a lot about a person when you travel with them. I think they must be right, because I learned not one, but two things about my sweet husband that day:

The difference between boys vs. girls is a phenomenon that never ceases to amaze me.
Back when the kids were little, I used to marvel at how fantastically different my rowdy boy was from my girly girls. But now that the kids are older, I think I’d kind of forgotten about the vast oppositeness of boys vs. girls.
We recently had a record 4 snow days off of school here in Dallas.
Day 1 = A CELEBRATION!
Day 2 = STILL FUN!
Day 3 = WOW, ANOTHER SNOW DAY?!
Day 4 = HERE’S WHAT I FOUND MY 17 YEAR OLD SON DOING:
Meanwhile, the girls saw Day 4 as an opportunity to take 733 pictures and make a movie out of them:

Everyone has a fish story. Some tell stories about “the one that got away” or about “the day the fish were biting so well that they caught every fish in the lake.” My fish story is a little different than most… and it involves a Scribbles Lunch Tote.
